Not knowing that I am

The storm takes me

Flooding flooded drowning 

I cry for sunshine

Not knowing that I am

The sun wakes me 

Will I ever sleep again 

Drowsy drowse exhausted 

I receive the blessings of rain and shine 

Not knowing that I am

I now know all that rain promises

When the sun kisses the wet earth

 I am renewed
